This time I get myself into some real trouble with a massive pirate swarm and have to try and withdraw before being overwhelmed!

This time I manage to sneak in to the pirate forces and finally destroy their base. All it took was waiting for the majority of the raid forces to sally forth before hand.  :P

Last of my mass missile videos, but it is a very fun fleet to use. Feels like what I think a modern naval fleet in the real world could be like with long range missile attacks from frigate groups supporting carriers.

Felt it wouldn't be right to leave the hegemony with any fuel supplies either, what with my current 45% grip on the fuel market.

This should hopefully hurt them enough that any future attacks will be stunted and weak enough that my defence fleets can deal with them.

This ended up being one hell of a battle as I found myself outnumbered and against a wall struggling to survive. Frigate reinforcements or 'ablative frigate shields' really saved me here.

Maybe it's because I just watched through Legend of the Galactic Heroes, but I really wanted to play with some death beam boats. Lance's come closes in my opinion to the feeling of the space battles in that amazing show!
