Here we get a couple of battles with a fully armed and operational fleet. Cruisers and the battle fortress with pulse lasers, Ker torpedo bombers on every carrier and by the last battle, access to the siege carrier.

That's when I lay into the Diable Avionics fleet to give my full fleet a real good show.

It is funny however that the siege carrier barely ever gets to shoot stuff with its BFG, but I suppose that's better then SCY Nation's destroyer level carrier that run to their deaths.

One more video after this!

The culmination of my SCY fleet where we fight off against some Outer Rim Alliance deserters and then fight 3 battles against the Diable Avionics fleet. I came so very close to sparking a war between the SCY Nation and Diable Avionics but unfortunately it never happened, which means that the SCY Nation have never been to war during my save file.

I'm working on some other fleets next but if these bounties keep putting out with all this great gear I might be able to do a looted ORA fleet soon.

When your save file corrupts after the game crashes, killing all your progress but you were using mods so you can't really complain:

So id there supposed to be dozens of independent fleets swarming each port or is that a mod thing?

The game should back-up your save files you know. You should be able to reload a previous non-corrupted save.

I'm not sure where that would be, however.

Sorry for the late reply....

In there, the .bak files are the backup. Remove the .bak extension and you will be using the backup.

A low technology Hegemony styled fleet armed with maximum missiles, bombs and shells.

Low tech fleets have to be a favourite, they just feel so dependable.

A mid technology fleet filled with magnetic guns, lasers and guided missiles.

Not my favourite fleet but still very safe and dependable with the eagles and falcons leading the way.

I was unable to find any Gryphons in my build up of the fleet which is a shame but oh well.

An age of super carriers, gadgets and powerful energy weapons.

Come to think of it, if it was powerful massed missile weapons, this age might not be so different then modern naval warfare with it's focus on super carriers and escorts. Even though SS has high tech battleships and cruisers that are basically obsolete in the modern age.

I was planning on doing a phase fleet next, and then an ORA fleet but the acquisition of these ships is very difficult, even this high tech fleet was hard to collect. So my current plan is to make a new save file and align myself with the ORA, collecting a phase fleet as I can.

The problem with the SCY nation commission is that the SCY never declare war on anyone, so it reduces the availability of ships when you can't rip them from the corpses of your enemies. An ORA commission should give me plenty of enemies to chew on, not as many as the DA however. Those fools have no friends what so ever.

I'm also adding in the Interstellar Imperium, the Shadowyards Reconstruction Authority and using the DynaSector mod. Not entirely sure what the DynaSector mod does, but I think it changes the markets or something. At least the Imperium and Shadowyards should add some new opponents to battle from time to time.

One hour of trading and fighting compressed into 5:30 minutes.

During this hour i earned 2+ millions of credits, lost 1 million of these on a scanning patrol and fought 4 fleets of pirates. No mods are used.

-----------------

Due the saving problem (which occurs even without mods) i began early to save allways a copy of my game.

Interesting load out on the battlecruiser, I never felt brave enough to have no PD on my ships, even with adequate fighter cover.

So is all the trading just black market runs? An interesting strategy if so.
