Here is some casual gameplay from my armada, right before the game crashed.  Roll Eyes typical!

Feel free to share your own casual videos!

EDIT: Also, I wish there was some battle music in the game. Like I'm fighting the Diktat, surely they should have a combat song for extra hype?

There is battle music. However it can get easily drowned out and missed thanks to all the explosions and concentrating on the fight

So there is no music in the battles, that's all just a bunch of ambient noise rather then music, so here I used some classical music to cover up the empty spots.

Also, apparently classical music that is hundreds of years old is also copyrighted, so yeah there is that. #ClassicYoutube

Some more gameplay and some really huge battles, even if my fleet are a bunch of incompetent swines.

Last video for a little while, but at least you get to see some high-tech fleet battles.

Just wish I could loot some actual high-tech cruisers rather then using the mid tech stand-ins, that said plasma cannons are stronk and can easily solo battleships.

Some Diable Avionics fleet gameplay.

No music this time but I'm kinda expecting people to be jumping through different parts of the video anyway rather then sitting and watching my low quality content for hours on end.

Wanzers are good.

Some more of the gameplay, the second for four videos.

Here I use some of my looted battleships as the mighty anvil to DA's hammer!

Here we have the third of four DA videos where we use some more of our cruiser/carrier fleet in the ongoing military expedition.

The hardest part of a DA aligned game is getting the DA weapons and ships you actually want! My personal recommendation is to have half of your fleet be disposable low tech ships to support a smaller number of high-tech DA ships as your elites. Letting you use the vast amount of weapons and salvaged ships you come across.

The forth of my four planned DA videos.

In this video we have my DA fleet fighting three large battles against the ORA where wanzers square off with ORA 'strike frigates' in battles so large that it even starts to bug out my sound card! We then finish the video off with the only battle I managed to record with the DA dreadnought.

Unfortunately that was the only one I could get before I was forced to withdraw with it due to overwhelming hegemony numbers!

Some Scy Nation videos coming up!

Interesting faction with some interesting gear. It does make me miss proper shielding on my ships and using flak cannons.

Still fun however! I get into some ridiculous battles against the Luddic Path.

Upon reflection, I rely on fitting my ships with so much point defence that they must make up the majority of the fleets DPS.

Makes for a great fireworks show between the weapons that are actually doing the anti-shield and anti-armour work.

The missile cruisers seem nice enough, although it wasn't until I had two with the phased missiles that they actually started to do the work on the enemy fleets. Phased missiles are great at picking off enemy ships inside of their own formations!

Lots more SCY Nations Videos on the way.

I manage to get myself together quite the cruiser fleet and ago around trying it out on the enemy.

The ultra heavy blaster weapons are nice, but the pulse laser is truly supreme. Af for the medium mount cruisers, the scatter laser seems decent enough as I wasn't too impressed by their duel KAcc guns. In hindsight both are decent choices for the craft.

I did think about going for many more blaster weapons in the fleet, but range seemed like the solution to all.

This is when I began wanting more torpedo bombers in my fleet, as the mass of fighters and gunships wasn't cutting it any more. So I decided to replace the gunships with more torpedo bombers, giving the fleet more long ranged anti-cruiser weapons that we would need for the larger battles. All of the SCY nations fighters and interceptors seemed cool. The basic one was alright with it's mini-guns, the mid level one with it's duel lances could help finish most frigates and destroyers and the large one with the rockets and mini blaster cannons could easily be called a strike fighter. The torpedo bomber was... basic and while some more variety would have been nice it certainly did the work I bought them for.

More coming up!

I finally manage to get my hands on the battle fortress and give it a whirl.

I did give it a go with the Orion artillery weapons but it really wasn't to my liking when compared to the pulse laser weapons which as you'll see, are very very powerful.

Four cruisers with pulse lasers and the battle fortress with three pulse lasers can easily cut down a fleet in a few minutes. Makes me wonder if that weapons was ever balanced to be used as the only weapon on a fleet with max flux capacitors. Oh well!
