to be fair, 1v1 engagements are not necessarily the best way to gauge relative strength, and Odyssey and especially Astral balance will work differently in 0.8, when flight decks become a much more directly connected part of the ships' combat potential.

still i feel current costs should be more along the lines of this:

Conquest: 150000 C, 40 DP
Odyssey: 180000 C, 40 DP
Astral: 200000 C, 45 DP
Onslaught: 250000 C, 50 DP
Paragon: 300000 C, 50 DP

that still keeps high-tech a bit more expensive, but without such a massive difference in performance-for-cost ratio.
