Children of a dead earth - realistic space tactical simulator
« on: December 06, 2016, 05:36:34 PM »

Having been waiting for the Fun-oriented space tactical game for a while that is Starsector, anyone else wanna check out Children of a Dead Earth?

It's a game with orbital mechanics, deltaV, ballistics, thermodynamics, and where wavelength and mirror size determines the range of your laser cannon. You can also design your own ships and subsystems.

Seems absolutely fascinating, how does it handle time acceleration?

It's kind of like orbital movement is turn based, where you set your maneuvers and click a button to fast forward X hours, then it jumps into combat that runs in real time.
