Equippable Rare/Unique Modspecs

Is it possible to have rare/unique modspecs that are equipped on a ship rather than permanently accessible? As in, common modspecs give permanent access while rare and/or unique ones are equipped on a ship, making you need to have more than one if you want more ships to have that particular hullmod.

should ask Alex that question RE: ensuring implementing this would be possible in the architecture of the game post-update

Seconding that. Would open up a whole lot of interesting rewards for a player... and fit the theme of degraded technology and "artifacts" pretty well.

The common ones would not need to be permanently accessible as they would be common to find.

It would be nice to see a Starsector mod that would change the mods from permanent to single use.
