I've got this problem where I've got an extremely boring jib at which I work incredible hours (at least 2 full time job's worth), and it makes time go by at a crawl and I keep going home and thinking "man its been forever since an update or a blog post, it's about time for some news" then I check and it's only been a week and I lay down and cry

Just pretend Alex has made commitments he hasn't regarding the update cycle. I like to imagine he plans around holiday releases, especially the solstices and equinoxes, when his coding magic is at its most potent. I had high hopes for the recent autumnal equinox, but those have been pushed back to this winter solstice.

Perhaps the delay had something to do with the changing horoscopes? Who knows.

ARE YOU A COWARD? This is not for you. We badly need a brave man. He must be 23 to 25 years old, in perfect health, at least six feet tall, weigh about 190 pounds, fluent English with some French, proficient with all weapons, some knowledge of engineering and mathematics essential, willing to travel, no family or emotional ties, indomitably courageous and handsome of face and figure. Permanent employment, very high pay, glorious adventure, great danger. -Glory Road, Heinlein

I wonder how much money Alex has to pay in bandwidth when he puts out a new update—that might be a major reason as to why he favors such a long dev cycle...

An update already?
It's been barely a decade since the last one.

I'm kind of torn on this anyway, as much as I look forward to shiny new stuff I dread having to wait for all the mods to update to the new version.

This post is now my "go to" example of an oxymoron.

I'm glad Alex seems to be rolling with getting out a blog post each month—that really helps lessen the drag of waiting.

But yeah, I hope we're at the tail end of things. Patch notes when?

I personally hold myself responsible for that, I decided to post in the latest blog thread about how excited I am for the next blog post on the same day as the last one, one month later, and he dropped the new update the day prior (just to spite me?). And if that is the case, I gotta say,
man Alex it worked. I'm really torn up, I hope the next one doesn't doesn't drop on the 22nd or before, that would really break my heart ):

You'd think they'd get tired of only ever blowing up New York or LA after a while...
