I like this idea. Make more use of the symbology.

This would be really nice.

It could be even simpler though, as you don't really need to differentiate between vengeful and hostile, nor friendly and allied.
All you need is a marking for:
Fleets that are likely to attack you.
Fleets that are likely to help you.
Fleets that are likley to do nothing.
Fleets that are currently trying to engage you.
