Maybe keep it as it is and create another one, Mass-produced version that looks the same but is far less powerful?
Sparrowhawk -> Sparrowhawk (S)
put out blueprints of lesser Sparrowhawk

I'm not going to make any promises; the original plans were 'three Blade Breaker ships, ever, and four or five weapons', so we're already through the looking glass.

I will keep this stuff in mind if, when I'm doing story missions, it makes sense, but it's extremely a one-off as it is and I don't want to create any kind of false hope; I have my plate very full IRL and just finishing up required features to 1.0, balance and bugfixing, and my entire other as-yet-unreleased mod are my priorities.

(Also, I appreciate donations, but I'm very much not doing this for the money; think of it as a tip jar to buy me a beer and you have about the level it's at. So please don't think that 'I might give you money' improves your chances of the mod going in one direction or another or a given ship idea or request happening; it's all either planned in advance, or totally on a whim, spur-of-the-moment. And I'm a lot shorter on time than I used to be).

No worries man, I am a programmer I already changed all of this stuff and have a whole fleet of Blade Breakers Sparrowhawks xD

So I don't really need it after you made the mod haha (sorry) but my offer still stands if you ever add it I will donate again ^^ and yes I understand about the money but I am just trying to show appreciation (I suck at communication over text so please don't get offended.)

Cheers,

Hey, thank you for the awesome mod,

Dassault-Mikoyan have been a wonderful challenging antagonist in my current BRDY playthrough.

I sent you a tip, hope it will go towards getting cool music for a cool faction.

Cheers!

Really enjoying the factions and ships :) Thanks for making this mod!

I have one question: how do I unhide hullmods so I can use them on other ships via console commands? I'm trying to add the defense mod to an existing ship.

I've opened the csv listing the hullmods in the mod folder, I see that there's a toggle for hidden in the top line, but I doubt editing that will do anything but break stuff.

Cheers

Glad you like it.

It's in the .CSV file, that's it right there. I'd have to check the script to see if that needs to be edited as well; you're really not meant to use those at all, so they're not all that user-friendly.

Great mod but the Blade Breakers seem kinda unbalanced right now. While Low Danger System seem fine the Jump to Medium Danger systems seems crazy. I Just fought through a medium system and retreated cause there were so many Mediuzm sized fleets that they slowly started to overwhelm my Fleet. Sure it was a high-tech fleet with some Eagles as support but it still feels off.

High-tech in general is not going to do well against Blade Breakers; they're a challenge you can handle best with lots and lots of cheap low-tech beaters. They can do zoom and boom better than most high-tech glass-cannons, and they'll eat light armor for breakfast. They're not meant to be any more balanced than Remnants are; it's an NPC challenge faction.

So needing a big, end-game fleet and lots of tanky ships is kind of the name of the game. I'm gonna mark this one as half 'working as intended' and half 'yeah, that sounds about right for the last release version; the rough balance point is right, the execution needs work.'

From the dev version, some good news for you; I've rebalanced major parts of that whole combat experience, from changing their mobility systems to tweaking their whole fleet doctrine. The fighter swarm should be less face-rolling and they should be easier (but not easy) to get a handle on.

Glad you like it, otherwise.

Well i found their strengh good but that there were so damn many fleets inside the medium Danger System that it felt like there is no end to them ;)

Hmm. Was it one of the handmade ones? Those are meant to be a step above the procgen ones in terms of basic nastiness, and ideally the skewing of their fleet composition towards smaller ships should make that easier to handle; more Imps (which are now shieldless), less fighter spam and fewer destroyers and cruisers.

I'll tuck your note in my to-do list and take a look at what can be done to tweak their fleet quantities. There might be a better balance point than the current one.

First off, standard enjoying the mod and all of the stuff it entails for the most part. Probably my favorites are the d'Erlon escort. Great ship to help get some carriers into your fleet. Bladebreakers are extremely fun to fight and use as well. Deserter start has the problem of, I want all of the starter ships but alas can not. Each of them is fun enough that I want them all.

My big comment has to do with updating the first post with the new bladebreaker stuff, as well as possibly updating the FAQ, specifcially with sigma matter and the data vault. I have no idea what they do at all and it is sitting in my storage right now. Do not know if I am supposed to take the stuff somewhere, sell it, or just hang on to it.

Are chassis_storage and advancedcore hullmods in the base game hidden hullmods? I don't see them in the hull_mods file in the mod and I've never seen them used before, the chassis_storage seems pretty cool.

Both of them are vanilla, and both of them are built-ins. chassis_storage is on hanger station modules, so they don't have to deal with fighter replacement rate, and advancedcore is the Paragon's Advanced Targeting Core.

Looks like you can't actually capture or make the dreadnought. When you spawn it in to your fleet, is it possible to have it spawn with the bow? Or some how attach it?
