Is it now time to prepare ourselves for the Long Wait?
« on: March 02, 2016, 04:20:34 PM »

With 7.2 out it would seem this patch cycle has drawn to an end, and so, another shall begin! Will it be the big Skill Rework patch? Or the must anticipated Industry and Outposts patch? Major work needed for both and so I ask, is it time for us to hibernate until the next release?

There is not much point to a skill revamp without adding Industry first; that branch has no skills at all.

ToME and Factorio! I nod in approval!

Back on topic, I shudder at the thought of another years worth of patch blackout that we had to endure before the big Sensor patch finally hit. >_>

Given recent history, I would not be surprised if the next patch gets released near the end of this year, and a fixed version in February or March.

Yep. The Long Wait has come. Good thing we have trickle of blog posts coming as well. Now I'm just hoping KSP 1.1 would release before I burn myself out playing Starsector.

Not opposed to a long wait tbh; there is much to do!

If there are regular juicy blogposts in between I don't mind a prolonged intermezzo. I love reading about the dev process and Alex' design ideas in blogposts. I just don't like hearing nothing interesting for several months.

Arranging holidays in an embrace with the Starsector is priceless.
