Just started looking at this, and there is a LOT of stuff to play with.
Like everything a lot.

There are no graphics to speak of, so if you care about that walk away now.
But there is so much detail.
Like designing your own components which you then use to design your own ships with etc.
Crew assignments, supplies, morale, formations, politics, cargo, mining, surveying, terraforming, etc. And it feels like there is no limit to how far the rabbit hole goes.
It's all very....

I have decided that I must terraform the entire solar system. Because.

Anyone else played with this overly complexified tool of distraction?

I discovered it via Quill18 on Youtube.  It's far, far too complex and deep for me to start playing at the start of my semester, but it's incredibly interesting to watch.

I've played this in the past. Maybe now that I have a big enough screen for it I might start again. Going to have to go over the change logs and see what new things I've missed.

It is complicated.
I feel absolutely and totally out of my depth sat here looking at all these tables full of numbers, but something is compelling me to wade through this morass of imaginary information.

Is this how masochism starts?

Watching someone else play it I think makes it looks much easier than it is.
