Mod installaling help for a new user

I just purchased Starsector and after searching for a mod installation guide with no luck I decided to post here for some direction. Figured you just unzipped the mods to the mod folder and go from there, but I'm having no success. was hoping someone could point me towards resources or could help me troubleshoot this problem.

Although unzipping in the mod folder is supposed to be the right method... Not sure what's going one here.
