   Here is a small-ish update to Diable Avionics that introduces the Hoar-type 6th gen wanzer. An escort wanzer that will will help your ships to plow through hordes of enemy fighters and waves of missiles unscathed.

   I also significantly buffed the durability of all solo wanzer wings (all 7th and 9th gen ones), and tried to make the micro-missiles a more attractive support option for players that do not want to focus on spamming them in every mount.

   This update should not break saves.

2.54

NEW CONTENT:
 - Added Hoar-type 6th gen wanzer wing:
   . Extremely efficient anti-fighter,
   . Cool akimbo gunslinger swagger.

BALANCING:
 - Micro-missiles:
   . Mounting cost reduced to 3op from 5,
   . Ammo regen rate doubled to 5s per from 10s,
   . Max ammo and clip sizes reduced to 3 missiles from 5.
 - Daze-class:
   . Built-in micro-missiles now fire forward.
 - Wanzers:
   . Increased the hull and/or armor of all solo wanzer wings by up to 25%.
   . Slightly buffed Valiant's shield.
 - Haze-class:
   . OP available increased to 170 from 160.
 - Phase Grazer Core:
   . Displacement very slightly increased.

BUGFIXES/IMPROVEMENTS:
 - Lazyhorn special effect weapon glow forced off.
 - Rewrote the entire Assume Control code, hopefully that will fix some inconsistent crashes in rare circumstances.
 - Fixed Version Checker repository issue.

i really enjoyed watching the little video showing the new fighter being made, you could see them going from really weak, to really op to being a threat but not godlike, i have always enjoyed all the mods you make, though i have to admit the Diable is my favorite, just love those little wanzers.

You won't be able to refit fighters and bombers at all. They're designed/balanced around having a particular set of weapons and would be very broken if you could change it. Which ones you pick for your fleet -out of quite a few that are available- is the choice here, not how they're outfitted.

This is... a rather unhelpful post? If you're reporting an error with discord, this isn't the place. If you're reporting an error with Diable Avionics (that someone posted on discord), then it might be nice to, y'know, actually include information about what said error is rather than just posting a link I'm not going to click on?

That bug has been reported a hundred times and it's a vanilla issue.

Also, the majority of the skin packs do not change the wanzers, and almost all that do aren't mine.

Fair enough - wasn't really expecting skin updates (that sounds like it'd be a lot of extra work), but figured I'd ask.  (If it matters, I'm using the "Sunrise" skin pack, which definitely does recolor the wanzers.)

My Snowblast and Sunrise skin packs have been updated with the Hoar-type wanzer. Battleworn/hardened, Stripeless and Navy did not require any change. You can get them in the usual place.

Since updating the mod from 2.0.4 to 2.54, StarSector throws me a fatal:null error when I try to launch with DiableAvionics. I tried reverting from 2.54 back to 2.04, and that just says it's missing ship_systems. Disabling DiableAvionics makes StarSector launch without issue.

Removing DA entirely from the Starsector game files and then re-installing it doesn't fix it. I made sure the 2.0.4 version of DA was completely removed from StarSector's mods folder before adding it back in. If anyone can be of any help with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

The only plausible explanation I have for this would be a corrupted archive. Try to redownload the mod and install it cleanly?

The game launches okay with a clean reinstall of 2.54, but when I attempt to load my save, it throws me this error message:

If possible, do you still have a download for version 2.0.4 of the mod available? It seems that 2.0.4 and 2.54 are far enough apart that it causes errors when I tried to update it for my pre-existing save. Thanks for the help so far :)

I mean, it's written everywhere that the earliest save compatible version is 2.50RC8. you'll have to search the thread for the relevant download, I don't have it on hands.

Try to search it on recycle bin for the deleted old mod, or on your download folder for the old .zip file.

Glad someone finally noticed, the entire faction is a flying Front Mission reference, from the fact their mechs are called "Wanzers" to the names of ships and weapons being Mechs/Items from the games.

Its a nice touch for all six of the people who will appreciate it.
