for me personally it seems like Tech mining is only profitable for 3 to 5 years after that returns just become garbage and you can wait three to five years just getting your Colony going before building the industry that is at a discount price.


also about the farms they are cheap but I am a penny-pincher LOL.

I've got really good with my 14th Legion battle group so I'm probably not changing. all these new ships are just going to be repaired and added to my collection of ships. that being said if I go up against three Remnant battleships  it's going to be tough I went up against five once and I barely survived and ran back to my home world. The Remnant Fleet is not to be taken lightly in groups of two let alone 4.

An since the remnant Battleship doesn't actually exist  in records of the Hegemony maybe someone with Deep Pockets offers to buy it off of you if you sell it to him your relationship with the hegemony takes a 25-point hit and your relationship with Tri-Tachyon it goes up 10 points because you made the hegemony look bad

I like the idea and support it the only problem is you have to have it limited too maybe a few Industries mining, Refining, heavy industry and maybe a Megaport maybe if you're lucky and find a habitable planet with an already existing human population you can have a farm pop up to. there does need to be some form of balance still in this if you decide to rebuild this structure you lose the tech mining option causing you to lose out on Blueprints and possibly easy to get AI's cores.

this is something though for when the game is being polished just to add the extra layer of realism.

will other factions get some unique leaders on planets like will David be put as the administrator of the planet (I hope to God I didn't miss something and he actually is one) and will the king of westernesse get his own portrait

I kind of hope this guy Wade star is incorporated into the game as a NPC considering he has his own portrait and a fairly interesting backstory just an idea but you could put him as the leader of the Revolt of the mining station in the tutorial or possibly the Spy you get the information from who eventually takes over the station making it go independent.

can we expect more lore information and new characters with the addition of story points?

since you do actually pay for a new identity for a Luddic Path member to get information on where their space station is it is possible but I don't think it will be implemented.

what I thought you were talking about changing your portrait if you chose a character that looks like a pirate and once you get rich or have your own colony you would like to change your clothing that would be an interesting thing to add to the game.

I always just assumed that it's something like Cloud City. a Massive man-made structures close enough to the gas giant to suck up its resources the
Heavy Batteries image for gas giants colonies makes it look like it's on a space station

 I have no problem if you need for other resources besides the basic ones to start a colony like you need +2000 Metals and 500 Transplutonics and maybe more supplies and heavy machinery to get it going. gas giants are the least profitable planet the majority of the time but they work great as military Outpost

I don't see why this won't become a thing.it makes way too much sense and it would add more realism to the game. this also might become a way to increase reputation with factions.

Survey Data V description"This data describes an exceptional world and will be of great value to any of the major factions in the Sector." pretty much answers the question as well. like sotanaht said we just have to wait. let's all pray to Ludd for patience.

Considering how the in-faction demand works, I don't think there would be situations where the additional industry would offer any net benefit. I can't think of any situation where the fifth industry would be vital for anything.
military base dude on every planet would be really nice in late game and they're quite a few times where I wish I could have a Refining industry and  Orbital Works industry  on the same Planet without having to sacrifice security

I want more resources and not just new resources I want resources to have different quality types

example high-quality goods to low-quality Goods I want repercussions if you sell low-quality food or drugs to a colony they might send the Bounty Hunter after you if you lie about the quality of the goods or they don't pay you as much because they know they're getting crap because you told them they were crap .

 yes a lot of the resources really don't have to do with anything outside of maybe  helping with your colonies needs but a lot of these supplies add another layer to the economy and the resources you saying aren't useful will probably have some use later down the road.


about the stuff taking up room in your Fleet buy more cargo ships dude. end game I have an atlas ship with me at all times

what the luddic path did to the people of mairaath how about a special mission where you help rebuild there orbital station cities

 Help them secure their star system by invading the pirate and independent worlds in their star system and turning control over to them for a sizable amount of money and reputation with them

Independent
Help Nova Maxios resettled their original Homeworld Maxios and maybe take over the pirate station kanta's den

I made a post similar to this a little while ago.though I thought of maybe making it a Independence Space Station like a mini Colony or something
it really does feel wasteful when you're destroying these facilities.
