Been having alot of fun with this lately, very nice when I just want to play abit and dont have the mind or the time to play Dota 2.

The gunplay is very solid though more similar to the BF-BC2 shooting, I like it alot.
The maps are VERY nicely designed, they are rather dynamic and fun to play on.
There is a good amount of stattweeking attachments, so some theorycrafting works well.
There is a massive amount of camos for weapons and crafts :3

I like it alot, even though it isnt TOO different from BF3.

Another episode! Playing some more campaign this time, expanding my fleet and planning my skill build.

Ive found that going for option 5 and option 2 on the creation screen gives the easier start, as you can designate your own skillpoints mostly and get a Wolf.

Creation Screen:

Starsector Starting Skill and Ship

1 Aptitude point, 2 skill points

First Screen: 2 Aptitude, 4 Skills

1: 1Leadership (Perks 3-4)

2: 1Combat (Perks 2-4)

3: 1Technologi (Perks 6-7)

4: 1Combat (Perks 5-6)

5: Nothing (2 extra skill points, 1 extra Aptitude)

Second screen:

1: Lasher (1L S2-S4)

2: Wolf (1T S8) Extra Skill point

3: Vigilance (1C S5-S6)

4: Lasher (1C S3-S7)

5: Hound (No skills, 2 extra skills, 1 extra aptitude) Start with little money

EDIT: Though if you want the Lasher specifically you are out of luck.

I wondered the same thing a while ago, and tested to find the best MKII variant I could.

I actually came up with a good design, it could tackle most low-end ships. Though that was a long time ago, and it might not have aged well.

Awww, no, don't dump the hound, don't you know how useful it'll be once your enemies start running from you? Its one of the fastest ships, and is excellent for harassment and support once you get a good gun on it. Plus it holds a lot of supplies for its size!

Yeah well. I probably wont dump it if I dont HAVE to. In my previous campaign I usually keep them. But money issues might force me to.

Faiter, I would suggest grabbing a long range weapon like a mauler or hypervelocity driver for that hound, short range weapons just don't work that well on it.

Yeah I noticed, tried a campaign as a Wolf, and it was significantly easier. I guess starting with a Hound was pretty counter intuitive... Il follow your advice for the next episode :P Though Il probably dump the Hound quickly.

First episode of the new update released! Played this just after having downloaded the update, and now that I have played the game some more, I think choosing the Hound as my starting ship was a rather horrible idea :S.

Cant wait for this to come out! Finally I can start a new campaign. The one I have now is so repetitive and stompy that I don't even bother anymore.

This version has been around for a really long time, the last release was in December :s
