I must ask...

Did you use the starsector batch file in the "starsector-core" folder?

It's what I did when I saw my Starsector was running slower due to the memory size.

I found out who it was, turns out it was Tri-Tachyon sending those invasion fleets from Hoth to Tywin and crashing my game.

I believe I had at least one empty star system (suprisingly I thought that invasions were possible on empty star systems due to me thinking they're uninhabited planets for the taking)

Well, if a vanilla faction is failing in a vanilla component of code (officer handling), and no-one else appears to have this bug, then I'm not sure I can do any more than recommend a reinstall (of both the game and the mod).
Do Hoth and Tywin have unusual market specs (like, say, no market at all)?

On another note, I did the Java 8 update not too long ago and put the newest update over the starsector folder and renamed it to JRE, for more information if needed to help out with the bug.

Me too!

The reality is that it is going to take a while™.

The complexities of this mod just makes it very time consuming to update and along with making it work again I need to really think over how to adapt some campaign things in creative manners for 0.7.1a. On a more interesting note, there will be updated art included in the same release as most of it has been done for a while now. Perhaps not everything at once but most of it... I hope. In the end every single sprite in the mod will be updated to create a unified art style and quality level that matches some new ships that will be appearing.


Take your time, it'll be worth it in the end.

Oh damn, that ship looks cool.

Seems to me it's a Destroyer or Cruiser sized carrier of some sort, for the ApproLight Fleet.

Also seems quite deadly.

Okay so with the dissolution of my old mod I've had to more or less start from scratch, and here's the first mockup of a frigate. Thoughts?

EDIT: This isn't to scale btw, it's about 2-3 times bigger than the actual in game size.

Well, it's about time for an opinion to be held.

For someone who's seen a lot of good looking mods (sometimes done a few playthroughs as well), I quite like the look of this frigate, it'll look great with the purple in the background of space itself

Not much to say otherwise, due to naught experience making sprites, i've yet to get started on some sprites myself.

This bastard of an error keeps popping up everytime I try to start a game on Nexerelin, even when I disable 1 or 2 factions...

Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?

Mind you, this is with a clean install and the only mod running at this time is Nexerelin, it does it with Starsector + & all other mods as well.

Should I re-install Starsector 7.1 again and see if it works then?
