That's good to hear, sounds like you'll be having a lot of fun with it.

I don't know about the background use though, I don't get many responses to the stuff I make but I suspect they do see a lot of use.

Your probably better off giving the ships the ability to plot around other ships of equal size when they are on their way to a destination.

Right now it seems that this simply isn't done at all.

It's only ever a problem with ships of equal size, when you have ships of a different size the smaller ships just gets out of the way and are usually fast enough to do so.

The projectilespecid, which points to the projectile file has a .png extension. This should point to the weapon's projectile file.

Hey, guys, I getting a fatal null error from this .wpn file. Can anyone spot it?

It's been heavily edited, I'm trying to put everything into a sensible order and cut out as much useless text as I can but I probably cut out to much.

The voice would have to be just right though, not like other games, not like current trends in movies. Something that feels right. That will be the hard part, getting the right voice.

EDIT: Or no voice at all, just pictures and music can set a tone as well.

Alex, could you tell us how far the Skimmer teleports your ship? To the edge of your screen or what?

300 pixels (at default zoom) in the direction that the ship is going. Or, if it's not moving, in the direction that it's facing. It'll also come out of the skim facing the closest enemy ship (or the targeted enemy ship), if it's nearby.
Interesting, does the Phase Teleporter have a similar mechanic?

You need a better saving habit.  ;D

I think that currently its a very bad idea to have a auto-save. (unless you make it possible to turn it off)
We only get one safe per character, so you don't want to create the possibility of losing very badly and then oops, the time of the auto-save came around just then and now your stuck in a shuttle.

But if you want we can work together on your faction. It's just not something for this topic.

You should start your own topic for your faction, sent me a download link of the ship sprites you have and I should be able to put them into a faction for you.
