I'm willing to put 2 or 3 centurions to protect my carrier group. But that is not suit you, a laser or a hammerhead would be nice for their ammofeed system!    brawler is a balance of firepower and armor, do it try!

General Discussion / Re: Battle Tactics

Better AI for phase ships would likely require nerfing them as well. If an AI could use a hammer-equipped Afflictor anywhere near as well as I can, it would completely invalidate all big ships that don't have back-facing shields.
Onslaughts are so hilariously easy to beat with this build that I could do several in a row. If AI could do that, there would be no better ship.
I can't agree more! But, if AI have such an Intelligence, what would happen? The enemy may try to arrange a group of ships(based on Destroyers or Frigates) to protect their Capital ship! That may save Onslaughts' fame from "Sinking The Bismarck". ;)

In fact, I always try to beat stronger enemies, and I found that control flagship is a great joy, but I had to keep concentrate on command. If the battle line is broken, nothing could avoid your failure but god. Once I make a test, use the default variant to play "The Last Hurrah", and I press U and Tab, only use orders to fight against Hegemony - I just lost half of my frigates to destroy my enemies, How terrible commander the AI is! ::)

Had to say, Pirates who always open their port has a great advantage! How terrible the free port is, the message of Pirate colonies level-up one by one, Pirate expand their size quicker than other faction, all thanks to the growth point +25 of free port.

In fact Luddic Path also open their port but, their just own two colonies at the beginning, so that wouldn't be a huge faction in several years like Pirate.

Battles can really feel bloated after a while. I caught a single expedition fleet of the luddic church and it had 5 cathedral and 2 legion + like 10 dominator (using swp).
Hey, I was also feel unacceptable for extreme bloated battle, you can try to do this to avoid. Just open data/config/settings.json

change
        "nex_brawlMode":false,
   "nex_brawlMode_minMult":2,
   "nex_brawlMode_maxMult":4,
   "nex_brawlMode_randomFactionGearChance":0.6,

to
   "nex_brawlMode":true,
   "nex_brawlMode_minMult":0.2,
   "nex_brawlMode_maxMult":0.5,
   "nex_brawlMode_randomFactionGearChance":0.6,

I hope that can help you get better experience. :D

General Discussion / Re: The Drover has too much OP

Actually, compared to the Condor, the Drover seems really out of line. I don't see an area where the Condor is better than the Drover.
I'm quite agree with you, but, as we all know, Condor is cheaper than Drover. That may be the reason why Pirate frequently use it.

I think we should not require too much for Condor, because it was tarsus refitted for military uses. That means compare Condor to Drover just like compare hound to lasher. Of course, Condor would never be useless, fast missile racks is the best friend of salamander and pilum(I'm agree with Kelran on that point), a nightmare of lasher or other frigate.

Oh, you mean a ceasefire/peace treaty? You can just attack them again, there's no penalty for doing this.
Ahha, I have tried it by myself just now, you have solve my problem at first!

I keep a thought that the agreement will disappear after I accept before. I always think too much and do too less, now I can pay the tax for my coloness without hesitate, my step to build a more prosper core will be quicker, Thank you for your help! :D

:)

Ah, there is a question i am confused, when someone send me a subsidiary agreement and I accept it, how the debuff could be removed when i have free time and enough ship to intercept the bombardment fleet?
Look at the tribute intel in the intel screen, there's a cancel button in the panel on the right.
I'm sorry that my question is undefined, please allow me to reorganize my word. :)

When i was trapped in other missions, or just unable defend, I accept the agreement in temporary. And then how could I do to tear up the treaty?

Really sorry for that my wrong leads to such a misunderstanding. :-[

General Discussion / Some feeling of NEX(0.9.5d)
« on: October 28, 2019, 07:45:42 PM »
Recent version of NEX suits me well. ;D Yesterday I amazingly found that I spend too much time to take measures to secure my own faction's benefit.

I was so concentrate on it that I even forgot the bounty. It is hard to keep a war fleet(Cruiser & several  Destroyer & some Landing craft such as Colossus MK.III), and keep a hunter fleet at the same time. It need a lot of time for me to regroup fleet, the nearest bounty i had made seems was 3 years ago.

Ah, there is a question i am confused, when someone send me a subsidiary agreement and I accept it, how the debuff could be removed when i have free time and enough ship to intercept the bombardment fleet?

Thanks for your job! There is really great pleasure to play such an excelent mod. :)

But I had also found a question. Some guys just told me that they feel awful when they had to spend many time and energy for a series of buff ( they could not bearing a useless one or even debuff, It's hard to understand for me but everyone have a mind of his own ).

As for me, the hullmod of Star Legend are just like a medal, the memory of my battle. It looks well but, lack of sense of participation, i mean it is uncontrolled completely.

Maybe, this is just my opinion, the  traits we can earn after battle can offer 2-3 choose(it may looks like level-up of officers) will be better, a Limited List is better than random in my thought.
