Thank you Salv and Alex for your replies :) I have a few more questions:
- Let's say I create a mod that add some new solar systems and planets; i guess the player need to start a new game to see/visit them, or he can also "load" them via console?
- Same question for a mod that adds new dialogs and options when the player visit the bar, for example a mod that implements new types of missions. Do he need to start a new game?

Hello, i would like to understand how the FoodShortage event is triggered, can someone point me which files to look on? I did some "backward" study and from FoodShortageEvent.class i arrived to CampaignEventManager.class, yet I can't find which conditions/code increase or decrease the probability of this event happening

Hello, i would like to add a new commodity using an existing industry (Light Industry for example)
Is that possible (without breaking stuff) or do i need to create a new industry to produce the new commodity? Because I had a look at a few mods and seems that new commodities are created from new industries

That's good, maybe i just had a lucky start. Anyway I can't really return to vanilla, the game feels much better with mods :D

Hello, i'm studying how modding works for Starsector and i took the freedom to solve the "?? ? ?? ??" showing on the tool tip, which is caused by not supported chinese characters:

1. In your mods folder, go to Foundation of Borken/data/campaign
2. Open rules.csv using Notepad++. Make a backup, just in case
3. Go to line 68
4. Replace the entire line with:

SetTooltip deployCh ""Note: Before deployment, your standing with the Foundation of Borken and with the local forces must be above welcoming.""

Note this is my personal translation, I'm not a native english speaker so please feel free to change or correct it.

5. Save and you're done. Just restart the game

I noticed there are more chinese characters inside and they can be solved/translated in the same way (I just help myself using Google Translator)

Hey hey people,
i've started playing Starsector a week ago and i'm having a lot of fun, however i've decided to install quite a lot of mods (list attached) because i was getting a little bored with my vanilla game (even if i'm keeping my save just in case).
I'm doing a new game now with all these mods enabled and so far i'm going well... maybe even too much. It may be luck, but the fact is that some blueprints and items introduced by the factions have a lot of value (one i found was worth 125k and others around 40k-20k) and some ships and weapons seems a bit OP though it may only be my impression. Even if it's also true that i found those on an very distant star to do a scan-research mission
So right now i'm not sure if i've unbalanced the game compared to vanilla and wanted know your opinion about it. I'm also having an issue which seems caused by Vayra's Sector, basically there is a Luddic Church system which spawn in a very extreme region of the map. Actually i'm ok in keeping it, but i question if this extreme distance will affect the market economy or the NPCs actions in the future (like traders and other fleets).
