Not sure if this issue should be posted here or in the mod sections as I am not a programmer but I do know how to read some of the code. Well game runs fine for awhile and then it just crashes to desktop and I checked the log and I see this error. There are others that have "error" in the log but not like this one. Any help would be awesome. Thank you. My starsector.log file is 20megabytes so I can't upload it.

Enjoying the game again after a long vacation... The game was running fine but now I am getting this error message Input String 120.0 error. So I opened up the log file with Notepad++ and I found this:

Update: I dug a bit deeper and figured out the mod QOL Pack was the problem. Not sure why it all of sudden causing the errors as I was playing a new campaign and after 4 days this happened.

Vortex looks good but I would prefer not to have to pay to use their product.  Plenty other options and though this looks really nice I am not for handing over all my mod installs to a 3rd party app for money.  Thanks for the help though.

I am running into same issue as FahadXray.  I have 2 versions of your mod.  8.1.2 and 8.1.3RC2.  I am assuming that I install the 8.1.2 and then install other version on top of that overwriting previous files?  The difference in sizes are 12mb for 8.1.2 and 6mb for 8.1.3RC2.  So not sure what is happening but I can play starsector without this mod active no issues.  If I am doing something wrong please point me in the right direction.

UPDATE: Issue is with the hotfix as version 8.1.2 loads fine but if I install the hotfix that is when I get issues with ship_system.csv file.

Bug Reports & Support (modded) / Failed to retrieve latest SS version

Not sure if this is correct place to post it, but today when I got home from work and the movies, I started up SS and got this error.  Other night played and got no such error.  I have not updated some of the mods I am using but the game did not crash when I started to play.  None the less I wanted to share this information and ask if I am doing something wrong or do I need to update all the mods and this will correct itself.

Okay been playing Starsector 0.9a now for past 3 days and it is a big change.  I wanted to wait for some modders to get their stuff updated before I took a dive into the game and I am impressed with everyone's work to make this game more interesting and time wasting for me.  ;D

So while I have been just scavenging and salvaging and exploring the sector, I have not taken many of the bounties and I have done a fair share of cargo hauling from the bar scene, so I now am ready to setup shop on a planet either in the Core Worlds or a few I found outside and I notice that my reputation with a few factions is at only favorable or at neutral still.  How do I get my reputation up with say just one factions besides just killing hostiles that come into their zone of influence?  I really would like to have a few allies and it seems it is very hard to do this now.  Am I missing the boat on this?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Alex.  I only have the 1 graphics card there is no on board integrated video for my MSI motherboard.  I am now going to install the latest driver from Nvidia which I have put off for a week now because I have been hesitant with all this strange blank screen thing.  I know that Nvidia has a built in video capture function but I do not use it at all.  My life is not that intense for video games to warrant such craziness. Anyways a new driver came out on 6/26 from Nvidia so I will do the install for this and see what happens, even though I doubt it will work.  Thanks again.

Not sure if anyone can help with this as I am pretty sure it is my graphics card having issues even though I have reverted back several driver versions yet nothing seems to work for me.  I can load the game just fine in full screen mode at 1920x1020.  When I first tried Starsector I did not install any mods, went to tutorials and each time I tried to launch a tactical simulation the screen would go black could here sounds but no video.  So I exited the game went into 1600x900 windowed mode and no issues with black screen appearing thus I was able to complete the tutorials.  I then went back to full screen to start a new game and things looked fine until I tried to access the directory for missions the screen once again went black and could only use ESC key to get out of it.  So I tried to save the game, nope, same issues black screen when trying to choose and option on how to save the game.  

I have searched and searched the forum for anyone else having a possible same issue, I have found nothing and that is why I think the issue is my graphics card.  I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti, driver version 398.11 running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  I have seen this similar issue with World of Tanks recently to, which is now really getting on my nerves.  If anyone can help me out that would be great if not I do understand.

I can run the game completely fine in Windowed mode at 1600x900 which is how I have been able to play this awesome game yet I would like to play it in full screen mode taking advantage of 25" LCD monitor I have.  If you need the log file I can post it yet when I looked at it myself it is over 50mb in size and I am running many mods now so not sure if it is mod related because like I said I have this issue in vanilla Starsector as well.

Well this is my first post since my son got me hooked on this game about a month ago and all I can say is this is very fun to play, thank you Alex and your small crew!

Now I have been pouring over the forum for a week now and found ways to tweak things to my game to make it more enjoyable for me since I have trouble with piloting my own ship because of a physical handicap, so my question like it states in the title is:

Can I increase my officers in my fleet beyond 10?

I have found how to tweak the level going beyond 20 cap, but I want more then 10 officers for my game play.  I thought I would be able to find how to change say the skill values for Officer Management under the Leadership aptitude, but sadly I have not been able to find this unless this is hard coded and I will respect that if this is the case.

Please help an old fella?
