Bonjour ici,

Depuis les débuts du jeu, la traduction en français n’a jamais aboutie. Une tâche dantesque, des mises à jour qui brisent les compatibilités ou ajoutent du contenu, un cycle très lent pour un jeu jamais vraiment terminé, c’est la même histoire pour beaucoup de projet : baisse de motivation, abandon.

Ceci dit, si une équipe (pas moi) me donnait tord je serais ravi.

I’d like to play this game again, but not sure i can squiz my taste in it.

I played one of the first version years ago, when it was barely just a battle simulator, and then played again several times for big updates but not too much, waiting for "full release" but i don’t think i’ll be alive when it happens so i should play today i guess. I think i almost don’t know anymore the game as it is in its current version, just the main flow and general gameplay, as i still have dozens of hours over the years.

What options, paths, and probably mods should i use and follow to have some fun ?

- I like having a small fleet, 1 to 5 ships very max, 2 or 3 would be neat
- I love exploration with meaning (finding usefull stuff, discovering weird places...)
- I like battles with small groups but tactical choices, not just lot of peons vs lot of peons
- I like destroying some things easily as i grow not in numbers but in power and knowledge, not always be challenged every step i go
- but i like also having some challenge from time to time when it’s justified, not just random pirate 10x my power because RNG hello
- i don’t like being an octopus with many buttons to click in short times and fast clicking or i’m dead
- i like usually turn based tactical stuff, but that’s not this game, so...
- i hate being dead because i didn’t do THAT or THIS in the right order at the right time

Do i make sense ?

Hm... Not sure i like this "new new", even if it’s still better than the current "new" skills tree.

I do like cherry picking my skills, and i don’t mind being all-powerfull-do-it-all if i spend time ingame rising my skills.

Can I assume we all agree that Tech is in a good place and that the other 3 trees need to be brought up to it's level? I don't want anyone reading this thinking nerfs are needed. The other trees need improvements.

Yes, i’d much prefer to see other trees going up, rather than Tech going down.

Hi,

I think in the idea, i’d prefer a free form, nothing "progression" oriented, just a cloud of skills i could pick when i like to.

Keep the 4 main types, alright, but each one would be an open cloud.

And balanced the skills so one is not  just really better, but simply a different way of playing.

It seems if i don’t do tutorial, i start with less points to buy skills, and less story points.

Doing tuto, something like 5/5 skill/story points.
Skipping tutorial, i see myself with 1/0 point ?

Is that correct ?

Yes, but i cannot find a way to rebind Cargo, so it’s not i.
Same with e and a few others.

On my keyboard, i usually go for equivalent of ESDF, not WASD, so that’s PUIE for me.

We cannot rebind cargo, command etc ?

Hello,

I don’t have a qwerty keyboard, and i rebind all keys in almost all games.

Here, i can rebind a lot of keys, but some of them seem to be missing or conflicting ?

Example, main screen where you move from planets to planets etc, Cargo is i, but i is also the key to slow down the fleet. So, to slow down, i must press and hold the i the i key (that’s opening the cargo), and manually close the cargo with the mouse, so when i’m back to game main screen, my fleet slows down.

Did i miss something ?

I play since 2011 but i never went really far. So for you all experts, a question :

I was wondering, do you have to grow to do something "interesting" in the game, or can you stay small ?

How small ?

I guess you CAN play lonewolf, one single ship, but what you actually do with it ? Between "A few delivery errands" and "Discover the secret of 42" ?

And then, what skills would you pick for your journey ?

Where do you spend your first points ?
How it looks like at level 10, 20, 50 ?
