love Nexerlin but i noticed a couple of issues...

* by the time i get to Level 30-35, the game is almost over as one faction is running over the sector.
maybe the other factions should go to Yellow Alert when one faction captures a planet.
if the same faction capture a second planet, the other factions should go to Red Alert and all join forces until the situation is settled.
they obviously don't care that one faction control 2/3 of the map.  ;)

* when a Planet that has Cabal store is captured, there's no more Cabal ships to buy.

the Scarab is not a very good ship.

yes, it has 9 slots for weapons but you can only bring 5 on target, because of the firing arcs.
so it's no better than the Shade or the other Tri-Tachyon Phase frigate in this respect.
also, Wolfs can't escort a Scarab, so it's good to keep that in mind.

also, the Scarab flux management is very poor.
you'll overload quickly using only Tactical Lasers.

the Shade or the other Phase frigate are a much better 'bang for the buck', imo

i fly a Shade with 4 Wolfs.

the Wolfs can keep up with they Shade and 4 of them is the maximum you can have to use the "Large Escort" command, or whatever it's called.
this way, i can keep my 'mates out of troubles and have total control over where i want to strike  ;)

i like to to play with this setup, the fleet had a Burn Drive of 10 and i can go quickly from system to system where the bounty is plentiful.  :)

i love the 5 frigate fleet!

when i know a fight is gonna be tough, i tell the 4 Wolf to escort my Shade.

my job is to position the whole set piece and keep them alive, and pick out the flankers one by one.
cloaking makes the job so much easier as i can fly through my own ships for perfect positioning of my mini-fleet.

1 Shade and 4 Wolf!  ;D

i fly the Shade of course, with 5 tactical or Trishkula Lasers.
Wolfs all with 1 Graviton Beam and 3 Tactical lasers.

in a fight i can tell all 4 Wolf to escort me.
or just 1, and the other 2 escort the other Wolf, so to have two different point of attacks

fun, fast, flexible, cheap.
very profitable!

i go from system to system.
hunting down bounties, Pirates and Ludic Path freaks!

General Discussion / This game is no good!

i probably have been playing hundreds of hours already.

there's something i really don't like about this game but i can't just figure it out for now.
maybe i can figure it out in a few more hundreds hours of game time.

oh. wait, just got a message:
"The Independent are offering bounties in the Terminus system. Rewards start at 2400 CR for a frigate."

ok well, duty calls!  lol   ;D

i've often seen pirate fleets smaller than mine looking for a fight.

once you get "vengeful" with them, they really don't like you.

i feel like hitting the com channel and ask them:
"Don't you have any idea who i am?"   ;)

General Discussion / mod to handle saved games?
« on: January 21, 2016, 08:09:00 AM »
i know i can copy the "saves" game folder, but is there a mod out there to manage saved games?

that would be more convenient than exiting the game and copy and paste the folder to the desktop.  ;)

i was wondering what good mods are out there that are close to vanilla...

i chose to get a TT commission.

but i never fought the Independent or the Sindrian, even when the TT was at war with them.
there was enough other targets near in and out the Maxios jumpoint to offset the penalties because i wasn't hostile with the Independent or the Syndrian.

i want to be able to get to any star system and dock with an Indepent station.
and the Syndrians are natural allies with the TT.

as a commissioned TT member, i don't need everybody to be hostile with me.
i got enough to keep me busy as it is.  ;)

Depends on the mounts. They could also be built-in PD Lasers. Because 9 free small energy slots sound crazy strong on a frigate, whereas dedicated PD Laser slots aren't that strong

that's a lot of weapons indeed for a frigate.

my ship is the Shade.
i always put 5 Tac Lasers on it until past the mid-game, when the fleet has enough experience.

then i put 2 Anti-Matter Blasters in the forward slots.
3 Tac Lasers in the other slots, with Integrated Point Defense, and set to fire on Auto.
does the job quite nicely.  :)

General Discussion / Re: Knights of Ludd?

Since this has been a problem for others too, a solution is to get Console Commands, if you do not have it and use the command

AdjustRelation player knights_of_ludd -100

tnx man!
i can finally get my TT commission.  :)
