Granted. You now have never said "That" in your life and never can again.

I wish the moon was cheese.

~shortened~

I guess with that system, it makes sense. Effectively it is infinite so they can claim it is, but in reality to try and utilize infinite space is impractical and impossible. I might hang out in their forums for a bit... check out the playerbase. Thanks for sharing this, frag!

Someone can always just take a sledgehammer and hit oncoming cars... It's not the cars themselves, it's everything else. No matter how you put it, you are in a metal brick hurtling about unchecked. Perhaps i'd feel safer in automatic cars, as long as they are perfectly in the center of the road at all times, don't falter in any way, and have good statistics backing up their safety.

BTW, this topic has gone a bit off topic.  Back to your phobias, dearies.

I play every once in a while. Since totalbiscuits video, I've logged about 20 hours. I used to play Tribes 2 way beck when I was a kid. Good times...

My ID is Verva.
I don't quite know much about the intricacies of the game, so don't expect me to be a great teammate, though if we skype I'm sure a little instruction would help :P

Gotta go fast!

Granted, it's April 28th... 2052.

I wish I won that spelling bee in third grade.

I did about five minutes of research for you, Vandala.

You apparently share a birthdate (Day and month, but not year) with Jason Mewes (Jay from the Jay and Silent Bob movies, Clerks (2)) and Pete Farndon, bassist for The Pretenders. (Loads of other famous people that I don't know, as well. :P)

Also, June 12th is "Loving Day" ;P
On this day, the Loving vs Virginia case is commemorated. The case struck down any remaining laws that prohibited interracial marriage.

Granted, but now you are 70, retired, and have no control over your bowels.

I wish I was the President of the United States of America.

I wish I could go to space.

I.. Im so torn on this. I like the similarities to EVE, which is a great game, but I don't see how an infinite universe, however awesome, helps anything. In order to utilize that infinite universe you better have a million dedicated users. I just don't think it'll be able to take off. They want a massive and intricate community to just happen.

I'm pretty sure Alex was referring to this thread. Some good conversation going on there as well.

I don't see how the slider thing works in terms of achievements. the game recognizing a trend (which is what a slider does) can determine faction interactions and such other things, but it's kind of mean rewarding a player for being good/bad cause then they can't go the other direction to get the rewards from the other spectrum without extreme difficulty.

Let's hope they hurry up those automated cars that drive themselves right?

Oh no, just get rid of cars period. I hate the things. They just suck all around. Whenever I'm in one, I think constantly of what might happen should that car just randomly swerve, or if that cat runs across the road, or if that dude decides to pull out of his blind driveway right... now. Every moment is filled with fear of death and pain and crashing and death.
EEeeuuugh... It gives me the shakies just thinking about them.

-don't worry, people can't track you based on a birthday-

You might be surprised to find out about who shares your birthday, or what was going on as your mother... erm... you know.

I share a birthday with FREAKING:
    -Walt Disney, December 5th 1901.
And less freaking, but still quite freaking:
-Frankie Muñiz,  1985 - Malcolm in Malcolm in the middle, my favorite show. (also born near my hometown in NJ. We totally could have been best buds.)

Also, Three massacre-suicides happened on Dec 5th's in recent history, awesome... ;)

And that's it. What about your birthdays?

Though I wouldn't consider it a phobia, I'm quite distrusting of cars, or any form of transport like cars. Trains, cool. I like trains. Planes, awesome. Hovercraft, wicked. Anything but cars. There aren't any rails, guides, walls, or anything stopping the damned things from hitting each other, many are unfit for travel (At least in my state, where there aren't vehicle inspections), and the kind of people they hand liscenses to are... ugh. It blows my mind how people can be so comfortable in them.

Ride a bike.

Suggestions / Re: Achievements
« on: April 25, 2012, 09:25:30 PM »
What if you start independant, but then are approached by factions that you kind of align with (Based on who you choose to attack). In that case, if you decide to join a faction, you fall into whatever rank/award sytem they have (Unique for each, but similar), or if you decide to remain independant, you are given bribes, discounts, awards and such from factions you've turned down, because they still want you. These awards give you that feeling of achievement.

It makes sense, and in this case, no matter how you chose to play through the sandbox you still get rewards/punisments for your actions. Not only in physically being attacked, but also you may get things like lower prices for factions you help, or even protection. You could remain an independant miner that trades with anyone, but you may get benefits in the from of a hagemony fleet protecting your mainly mining and cargo-oriented fleet, so you could specialise further, and become a more efficient trader/miner, if you trade exclusively, or mainly with hagemony.

There's some things to consider in that possibly off-topic rant ;)
