First bug is that I've been constantly getting nebula transports everywhere when im salvaging anything. Most notably from derelect probe debris fields.

Second I got a video of, I was launched across the nebula by storms and somehow aggro'd 4 different very large pirate fleets without being able to see anything on the map

After the combat ended the fleets all seemed to spawn around me then burn away or towards me. I'm not sure if this is a bug, a secret part of 0.9 to punish people, or just a group of pirates all going dark in the middle of hyperspace.

I have been using save copy and after a certain point I am unable to load games saved despite continuing to play on that file for hours after, and make more saves as I go. When I check the log I get the below error. I am able to load games from 2 hours in, but after that I get this error.

The wording on the error is

"Error loading saved game, see starsector.log for details
its possible that the save game is from an incompatible version or was created with mods that are now disabled."

This happened from saving a copy in the campaign map then trying to load it seconds later and it still would not work.

If nothing else I'd like to figure out which mod is causing this so I can stop losing campaigns to it, if I cant figure out how to fix this.

I want to help out and contribute data to the game wiki after spending so much time playing and loving the game, but there are two wiki's.

EDIT (Apr 2024): Most of the community has moved over to using the new Starsector wiki at wiki.gg with the address https://starsector.wiki.gg/wiki/Starsector_Wiki

My question is this:
Which wiki is the official one? Is there an official wiki?

Also - A large thing to take into account, both of these wiki's use the old title of starFARER in the url. if this cannot be changed we may need to create a new wiki and compile both of these into it using the correct name.

1.) Suddenly be trapped in a star system because I got rid of all my fuel on habit and couldn't get it back.

2.) Waste all my supplies by spamming all my remaining munitions on the last ship the enemies have. (Using 8 Reaper-class torpedo's trying to kill a piranha wing JUST outside of my range.)

Anyone else think of anything like this?

As it is, I can currently see no purpose in ever picking the "Attempt to break through their lines and escape" option. This is because you can just as well go into combat with either of the other two, order a mass retreat and then your ships will turn around and leave the screen in seconds. This may cause you to take some damage to your ships, but it is far less than trying to break through an entire enemy fleet would cause.

If i run into their fleet in Iron Mode i'm not really scared anymore because of this. Feels almost as much of a cheat as the save scumming. I do not think this is intended.

Perhaps if the enemy chooses the attack option it disables retreating from any side of the map except where the enemies spawn? Because this would help the player as well from the same problem: I pick attack because i do not want to risk them getting away and halfway through murderizing them they turn tail and I cant kill the rest of them, nor can I catch their fleet as it is now faster than mine due to being smaller.

Just annoying in general and kind of unsatisfying.

I have recently made the mistake of buying a triple-A game off of faith in the devs instead of waiting as I normally would and have, and have been regretting it since. (Diablo 3)

Does anyone know any good indie games or devs that I can find?

I love Starfarer but I spend way too much time playing games to only play one or two, it would get to the point where i wouldn't enjoy it anymore.

General Discussion / Question about supplies

After the most recent patches I have been noticing that I'm going through supplies far faster than normal and having to buy them at the stations. Is this just because of the new fighter repair mechanic and the station repair options? Or are you planning on adding/have added a mechanic where it uses supplies post battle depending on how much of your ammo you have used?

I'm just wondering this because in the definition for the supplies it lists munitions as one of the things that it contains and I was thinking it would be cool to have to think of how much ammo or missiles you use in a very small scale engagement if you were say, exploring a system in the finished campaign where it would be impossible to restock on ammo. As it is now if i catch one small frigate vs my whole fleet i have no problem sending maybe 50 torpedoes at it even if all of them miss because there is no negative repercussions after the battle.

Is there any option where it can be made that after making a post you are left in the thread that you posted in instead of kicked to the listing of the threads?

It isn't a problem now but in the future when the forums will be much busier it could be annoying trying to find the correct thread to see responses from your reply when the listing updates.
