How do I have to poke them to do something?

3 years my colonies have been flourishing and my enemies have been crushed at every step on the way. When do I start the Third AI war?
Better yet, HOW can I start the Third AI war?

Does anyone know what causes them or how to get them? I got the first Story mission and I really liked it, but I don't understand is it random or what?

I have never seen Major Events active.

Suggestions / Ship roles separation

Playing with a fleet usualy requiers tugs, cargo ships and tankers, but they are mostly useless in a fight.
My suggestion is to have a "check" in our fleet window that will allow us to mark said ships as logistic ships,
thus removing them form the deployment window during combat.
It will save people needless clicking to mark/unmark ships.
