Modding / Starsector out of space leading to GC overhead limit Error

So i've modded my starsector quite a bit with a list of :

Autonomous ships
autosave
Blackrock Driveyards
Combat Chatter
Common Radar
Dassualt-Mikoyan Engineering
Diable Avionics
ElizaLib
Interstellar Imperium
Junk pirates
LazyLib
Metelson Industries
Neutrino Corporation
Nexerelin
Omnifactory
Pegasus Belt Council
Portrait pack
Practice Targets
Shadowyards
Simulator Overhaul
Stiener Foundation
The Mayorate
Tiandong Heavy Industries
Version Checker
ZZ GraphicsLib


And Im running
MacOS Sierra Version 10.12.1
iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012)
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512 MB

I've attempted to edit the starsector.command file so it has 3-6 Gb :

Also underneath the starsector icon that I click to startup the game says Out of Space in grey so
is the problem with the specs of my computer or have i done something wrong?


(Game crashes after about 1 hour in after 2 or 3 saves)

Modding / Mod creation. Where to start?

I've been interested in starsector for quite some time. I've always wanted to contribute somehow but I have no clue how to even start modding or how to design ships/weapons.

Any tips?

Am I the only one who really wonders if I'll ever be able to battle my friends in either an mmo version of star sector or some kind of lan? I know it might be quite a stretch but can we please try to make it happen???

Ok. my game keeps crashing after or while saving. I have 25 mods loaded, everything is up to date and working but after about 20 or more minutes in I try saving and BAM it crashes, I have made the Xms to 1024 and beyond for both in the package contents and still no fix.

anyone know any tricks to try and fix my dilemma?   ??? ??? ???
