Between the insane supply and fuel cost to do literally anything is it possible to field a couple meager destroyers, a small carrier and 2 frigates without having a colony or being tethered to a faction? I'm trying to explore and survey and between all the expenses, even having an officer is impossible. All the bounties are way out of my league or set in BFE which makes it impossible to even get to.

What I'm I doing wrong?

I started bleeding insane amount of money and when I looked into as to why, I found my spaceport in my colony disabled. As far as I know no one attacked it, so I would like to know what can cause this to happen?

Does the station outfit itself with the best available weapons as they become available from blueprints? Or do I need to make sure I have what I want before I build it?

Modding / New Faction addition save game compatability

Returning to the game after years of hiatus, I completely forgot all the ins and outs of the modding system in starsector. Do I need to start a new game every time I add a new faction to game for them to be present?

Suggestions / Miners and Mining + Economy

Seeing as the game has things like independent miners (im assuming later on in the game it will also have corporate miners ect...), I was thinking why not have another awesome addition to the game with various minerals/metals that they can mine from asteroids or appropriate planets (provided they have the proper equipment).

They can then convoy them and supply stations which can then be used for ship/weapon production.

This would also maybe provide a decent way for the player to earn some money using an alternate path aside combat.
Asteroids would then become either dead weight or valuable locations for pirates to raid unsuspecting miners.

This also opens up a whole new area once multiple systems get introduced. You can have an entire system composed of nothing but asteroid belts and valuable mining grounds that corporations and private companies could "fight" for .

Thoughts on this idea?

I was wondering how big is the developer team for Starfarer, and if this one is possible to answer...about how much of the game is already completed?

Having recently gotten the game I am in love, and cannot wait for the finished product!

With that in mind i have a question about the sectors.

Are we going to have more then one, or is the game going to all take place in the Corvus System?
