Pretty much what the title says. Had to reformat and now have no way to play the game.
I dont have any email with an activation code that I can find, does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?

so my pc decided to break (which is why my mod had no updates) and since i am reinstalling everything i was wondering if its possible to get/create alt skins for photoshop as im trying to give a unified look to my desktop with mathing colour and art themes for the majority of my programs.

On --------- the light carrier Ishmael was tasked with retrieving two transport frigates that where on a routine run across system ------ on the ------- sector. Anomalous behaviors where observed so a corvette retrofitted to carry boarding marines was deployed. The operation was a success expect the loss of marines 01, 02, 03 and the trans----- of marine 05. Marines 04, 06 and 07 where able to give some insight.

Subject 04 -What noone expected was the captain of the two frigates shooting them. It was a frenzied attempt and a futile at that since the two transports had only one ultralight gauss cannon supposed to used for desperation not to take out a carrier. However the cargo they where carrying was deemed too expensive to simply blow up so a boarding action was called. Thats where we come in. Every carrier that is on far space missions has a corvette in their decks that has been retrofitted to allow the transportation and injection of marines in a ship. The atmosphere, or rather the lack of since the cabin was depressurized to allow for rapid exiting, was tense. There where seven of us all equipped with rail rifles, simple and devoid of any recoil making them ideal for zero gee combat, and with plasma torches that could cut through the weak points of armor platings and entrance hatches. We took off from the carrier twelve hours after the first contact as soon as a swarm of limpet drones managed to capture and hold one of the frigates and its deranged crew. The corvette pilots where smart enough to fly on the blind side of the point defense or the drones took it out, in either case noone died untill we where on the hull of the frigate. One of the massive cargo containers was ripped apart as if something came out from it almost like an egg that hatched. We where not scared of it but rather used it as an easy point of entry. That is when the first contact was made.

Subject 04 -Contact as in we saw it we saw the fleshy cables, the chintin plates its when we head the voices. We saw the captain entering the container without a pressure suit his body exposed into the cosmos. He seemed uninterested to the boiling blood and the freezing skin. And he started talking to us and even though we should not have heard him we could hear him we could all hear him.

Investigator -What did he say? Please continue with your story marine.

Subject 04 becomes agitated and refuses to talk. Further attempts to broaden on the investigations has proven futile. subject 06 and subject 07 appear more cooperative so investigation will proceed with their reports.
Request to administer amnesiacs has been refused as the origin of the voice is still shrouded in mystery. We believe that the scourge is able to interface with neural implants and is able to communicate.
It appears that the transport frigate has come in contact with a plague rider while in orbit of the gas giant. The location of the organism or of its brood remains unknown and no further insidents have been reported.
This is the first case of a caravan ship being transmuted into a scourge ship.


 The corvette used to transport the marines was safety disassembled on flagship
 ----- of convoy ------------- to reduce the risk of contamination.


Further reports will follow detailing the effect of swarmers that the transport frigate was "incubating" when tested on living tissue and machinery.

Bug Reports & Support / ship asteroid evasion *working as intended*

So I'm creating an unorthodox mod in that the ships have extremely low armor but very durable shields. Problem is while they hold their own just fine against enemy ships their biggest bane is the asteroids...
They raise their shields if they are about to collide with a friendly ship but they seem to ignore asteroids as a potential threat.
I know its not a bug but something that just did not needed to be coded but will we get better spacial awareness/navigation when it comes to spaceships vs asteroids?

Modding / the caravan new faction work in progress alpha out

Current features
Added mission "faction_test" its purpose is to showcase the available ships.
Added 5 ships the gauss destroyer the gauss frigate the light and heavy missile ships and a missile destroyer.
Added "caravan gauss cannon" light and heavy variants a long range weapon meant to kill running enemies and 2 missile launchers for the new ships to use.
Close to vanilla balanced (will improve balancing on further releases)
No campaign integration at the moment.

Hello all I was lurking for a while and this is my first post...
Anyway this is going to be a new faction I wanted to make, its based on missile weapons and shields with ships having very low armor and it should have a feel of modular ship designs.
There will be 4 main ship types frigates cruisers battleships and 2 flagships along with a few fighters. Its sorta inspired from homeworld as far as the weapon styles go with prolonged missile barrages and
a few heavy hitting cannons.

So what is different compared to other ship designs?
If we take for example the light missile cruiser its armament is X4 medium missile launchers X3 point defense lasers and X1 coil gun mounded on the "spine" of the ship ( it will be a hardpoint so you will need to turn the ship around to hit things). Those kind of stuff require very little actual flux so the main use for flux on this faction's ships is to keep the shields up. The ships will have above average shields but their armor is
going to be very minimal so if anything catches them with their shields down they will be able to make short work out of them.

What will the mod have to offer?
New missile systems (probably going to be race specific if I can find out a way to do it)
New point defense  and heavy hitting weapons
4 frigates, 3 cruisers (refined on the sprites shown here) 1 battleship and 2 flagships (one flagship will be a carrier the second will be more attack orientated) and a couple of fighters and corvettes (a fighter group but slightly bigger sized ships and only 2 of them)
And most importantly a (hopefully) slightly different play style based around avoiding enemy fire and long range missile bombardment.

Yes its a kitbash but I'm not that good at making sprites so it will let me actually create the ships within the year if it piece them together from preexisting stuff.
The main reason that I made this thread is for motivation seeing how lazy I can be if I have no clear deadlines on me...
