On a serious note:

Hey guys,

Ive just realized that its "soon" gonna be almost two yeras since I last promised a ver. of my mod to be released and since then alot of stuff has changed in Starsector. Ive been having Zaphide do all the coding for me in the past, but sadly when he had the time to spare for modding, i didnt have time to finish and deliver my WIP of the mod and then, when I finally had it- Zaphiers MIA :(

So ive been wondering if any of you out there would help me put this thing together.  :)

Modding / Is it somehow possible to give more types of drones to a ship?

Hey there, I was thinking about making a lightly armed carrier, that would actually work like one - i.e. - send fighters(various fighters, bombers) at the enemy ships, while not being really good at fighting by itself.

My question is, is it possible to force multiple drone variants into the ship system, or.. I rememeber someone on this forum found a way how to convert a large missile slot to be a single fighter(but I cant for the love of me find that topic, or his post)- if it actually worked, Im not sure.

The missile bypass would be more useful, cause i can see it right now - various built-in weapons, disguised as hangars sending an finite number of fighters :P

Any help appretiated :)

Hey guys, I was wondering- is it possible to spawn a single specific fleet from the faction fleet list in a system? And how?

(please if it IS possible post your guide as if for dummies)

Ive been going through codex entries recently(forgot which of my stuff already has a description and which doesnt..) and I already memorized the thingie, but if you ever find yourself with absolutely nothing else important to do.. it could be good to have additional two options in the lower screen(where you select, filter, what should be displayed) called "StarSector and "Mods" ?

So, this is what has been going through my head lately..

I got some mods out here, that Im still working on, adding stuff to them, waitting for the glorified 0.6a, but..

In essence, Im very bussy, stressed out, have little time to work on mods for Starfarer. When I do, Im limited to
spriting(not valueing sprite quality..) and getting the basic stuff done(weapons, ships, missions, campaign..),
but if I should put it bluntly and summarize some of the community reactions to such mod, it basicly just
"adds stuff, but nothing new".

Because to add something really new, you need to code it in first and there lies my problem. I asked for help,
inside the community, but again, if I can be blunt, the coders are almost considered kings of the modding
community - and theres a reason for that, hands down! But I feel no willingness to "help out" , either theres no time,
no will..

And considering I do have to put alot of work into the mod, when i do work on it.. im thinking, if its worth it really,
cause Im not sure, if I even will handle the transition from 0.54 to 0.6, code wise, probably.. but still im only
working on something, that in general gets a "meh" reaction. Knowing, that my line of work lies in a completly
different direction and that I wont have muh time to work on mods in upcomming future, Im wondering, if someone
would be willing to pick up from where I will stop(eventually). I still got some spriting to do, that I want to finish,
cause I dont like leaving a job half done, but im kinda brainstorming, what will come after that.

I could also put a request for a coder, which might solve the issue, but coding is not the only thing problem,
dunno, maybe Im simply losing interest in this(what started as a simple hobby in PS..).

Dont get offended by any of this, ignore bad grammar, im just clearing my mind.. as it is  ;)

Edit - mind you, the fact, that a person cant just sit to a desk and make things for Starsector, cause stuff is getting
more and more complex.. is actually a good sign and one has to praise how far the game has come since I knew
about it, but at this time, I dont feel like doing the basic stuff is enough anymore :)

Finding the clone wars quite enjoyable to eatch, I would like to ask..

Am I the only one, who thinks they should just leave it right there, as it is ?

There are possibly confirmed rumors about the Sixth season.. in making,
but i think the way it "ends" now.. leaves obvious idea/reasons on why it
ends the way it does.. and leaves alot to self imagination on what might
happen once the time for "66" comes around.

Putting aside, that shes one of my favourite characters (if not the most) from the Mass Effect trilogy.
I have to add Im very impressed with the craftsmanship on this figure and the very high level of details.

Just realized I already had six "work" versions of my ship  :D
Most of the time I "feel" like Im improving stuff, but backtracking my work alot of time, I find out that im not improving, just making stuff worse..
And that ppl still dont realize, those "Lights" on the side.. are hangars -.-

Ive done that five times already, despite telling my mind "you idiot.. its Sector now.."
two seconds later.. my mind goes no, its starfarer, sorry.

Hey, just a quick question, could someone point me in thte right direction, where can I find stuff about the Starfarer universe.

Hegemony, T.T. , Pirates and Independetns, the state of the galaxy, how is it with those giant pre-fabricating factories and ..
forgive the word - stargates ? (that dont work, as I rememeber :D )

(I thought that if im gonna make something I might aswel either put it inside the universe for good reason.. or lie about it very well.)

Hey,

anyone know of a good mouse, which doesnt have any production faults because of bad design and/or bad materials? And is a gaming mouse?

Ive been over many mice over the years.. and I have quite a graveyard. In short.

Razer Naga - probably best of all, althout it was quite hard to use the Num. keys, Im considering getting Naga Hex. My first Naga died because it had... a hard landing couple time,s when I got.. angry a bit.

Razer Mamba - best mouse Ive had, good ergonomy, very good DPI, response rate, hwoever Razer used a cheap glue on the rubber stickers, where your thumb rests and on the other side where your ring and littlefinger rest - they come off and its annoying to get them back. Latest ver. of mamba still uses these rubbers.. which puts it out of the race in my mind.

Logitech g700 - the infamous Left & Right Button problems, which were never solved.

Roccat Kone + - very good mouse, on line with Mamba, but again terrible choice of materials levels the scroll wheel unusable after a week of usage. (ver 2 has only 3500dpi, so thats out of the question.)


Any suggestions ?  ;D
