Bug Reports & Support / Crashes Upon Start Up
« on: July 03, 2012, 12:08:09 PM »
Ok, so I originally had this problem on my computer. However, that was a 32-bit operating system on a laptop. However, I just recently move it to my desktop on my home computer (64-bit operating system) and it is crashing on startup.

Fatal: Exiting - exception in LWJGL initialization
Cause: Pixel format not accelerated
Check starfarer.log for more info.

I checked the display, it is already 32-bit. So I checked the driver. The driver date is 6/21/2006..... So I went to update the driver software. I updated it and now it is a driver from 5/11/2009. I just tried it again and it still crashes upon startup. Help please?

Suggestions / Is this a small bug?
« on: April 05, 2012, 04:40:24 PM »
Hey! While I was doing a couple of battles, I noticed something.... Lets say that I put a waypoint down with a command.  Then, lets say I want to take away said command.  When you click on it it say something like "Command Point +1". Does this mean that it is suppose to give you one when you cancel it? If so, then I have been going through the game the entire time losing command points when I cancel the order.

Suggestions / Plot Destination via Map

I find it kind of annoying having to hold the mouse down just to cross the solar system.  I would love it if you could just pick a point on the map and just let the ship handle it.

Bug Reports & Support / Game Crashes Upon Start Up
« on: February 21, 2012, 11:32:52 AM »
Hi! I just bought the game when suddenly, it crashed upon start up. I use a PC and this error message comes up:

Fatal: Exiting - exception in LWJGL initialization
Cause: Pixel format not accelerated
Check starfarer.log for more info.

I would like to know if someone can help me.
By the way, I am a bit of a "noob" at computers
so I have no idea where to look for the starfarer.log.
I tried looking for it in the program files and I could not find it.

Oh and I tried opening it in different windows besides full screen and I tried using different resolutions, but that also didn't work.

Thank you for helping.
