i find that one of the many reason why AI behavior so poorly vs phase ship is that, the AI drops even undamaged shield when phase ships is phased very close to it.

perhaps if AI can be coded to keep the shield unless they have to drop it when phased shield is close it would help them deal with phased shipped tremulously

you need fire power to limit radiant mobility, if the radiant can keep pushing your fleet back you will probably lose,

you need something to kill fulgent and Glimmer fast you don't want fulgent eating up all your fighter and missiles reserves.

the brilliant and scintilla is usually lesser of a problem, their fighters are annoying but not numerous enough to truly be a problem.

real threat radiant, for most of the game you will not be able to kill it fast but it doesn't mean you can't keep it back.
fulgent and Glimmer basically what you need to kill so you can start working your way in to their formation, and just be equipped to deal with fighters.

when i see the champion with a functional large missile point and then i look at The Gryphon the difference is truly staggering. and please don't compare champion to conquest or odyssey, they are truly different in terms of Dp points and OP points.

amount the ships we can compare it to it is just falcon, and dominator.

and in this aspect i find the champion function alot like the dominator but slightly more mobile with out the special and has a effective shield, which end up providing ALOT more defense.

its fire power while on par with the dominator, it significantly out class the falcon. especially with its special.

but i do like the fact we have a front line cruiser that uses energy weapon i think that was a really good addition.

champion has high armor, decent shield, decent flux dissipation, decent mobility,
AND very good special, both large missile and energy that has good placement, and two hybrid medium.

kinda feel like a Dominator with out Dominator draw backs

yes supplying the pirates can make them stronger, Luddic path is harder because they are the only faction in the game that doesn't have a proper supply chain.

Pirate can take new blue prints as others have said, they also have a ship production facility that is constantly short of production inputs, supplying that planet with the material it need can keep its ship production going and there are two effects

1. more pirate ship will pratol that planet and the system
2. more pirate ship shipment will be smuggle out of that planet in to other pirate planets.

However the effect on the actually strengths of the pirates is VERY minor, because the bulk of the pirate fleet comes from the random pirate base spawn in the middle of no where, granted that base still supplies those bases but the difference with or with out it is minimal.

so the only effective way to effect pirate strengths is just to dump blue prints on the black market, and luddic path don't have access to this option either.

yes it is a bug, i am sure when the full game is release conflicting planet property will be fixed/

it is fine, i do like the fact that you can't get everything with exploration any more, it is only one aspect of the game, there is trading, raiding, and scavenging to get what you want. it should stay that way.

if you really just want that sweet sweet pristine Nano forge maybe Alex can put in a quest that reward you one so that everyone has that 1 pristine nano for certain and everything else is up to RNG

when you drop commission with a faction hostile relation reset to -25 instead of what ever you are at right? does that work for pirate relation and panther  relastions?

yeah with the rare find % gone and the fact that here is a larger pool of rare items, finding a specific rare item did become alot harder, but perhaps that is to balance the fact that there are two branching skill path you can go.

an explorer path and a smuggler path, if the explorer is able to consistently find rare items such are pristine Nano forge it may break the balance in the choice of going smuggler or explorer for the early game.
