I really like the idea of distress beacons being a great way to improve relations as well as being able to possibly replicate another faction's distress beacon and the transponder of another ship.  Say you see a hegemony trader that is sending out a distress beacon but it turns out to be a pirate fleet which had scrapped the traders and activated their transponders while themselves remaining dark.

Bug Reports & Support / Purchasing Military weapons through refit

In the refit screen the military weapons that you do not yet have access to are red however they are clickable and can be purchased thus ignoring the opinion requirement.

That image seems to have the base hulls swapped.

I am not sure how much sense modular hulls makes lore wise considering it is all done in autofactories which are capable of constructing (all?) ships with just a blueprint.

Looks like Thaago didn't have to worry too much.

I seem to remember the Enforcer being identified as ridiculously OP (for its base RP cost) long ago in the first AIvAI forum game.
It was very good but the first one had a lot more small ships so it is difficult to compare the 5 frigates vs capital ships.  Those missile are very good though.

I must say I don't fear shadowy's fleet very much now but I certainly respect his Charybdis for its absolute destruction of dozens of sidecars.  I am however not convinced by his solidarity destroyers.

Personally i never use beams weaponry on phase ship but that Scylla was surprisingly okay, would have been murderous against low-tech frigates.

That Scylla was annoying is what it was especially since my paragon didn't seem to want to use its joyouse while the phase ship was venting.

It would have gotten the Yakety Sax treatment were it not for the sirboomalot vs MShadowy battle.

Is that why it is still not up?

I feel like the the end of the first half of my fight needed the Benny Hill theme.  Also my paragon almost killing itself on asteroids was interesting.

I have a feeling your fleets going to do really well btw! Good luck

The issue is that Thaago and I are likely to fall off in the late game because of the fact that capital ships (especially high tech ones) eat so much RP per round, for instance a single paragon has a net change per round of -8.86 RP while the entirety of the Independent combat fleet has a net change of -2.52 so there is a lot of room for growth that we Tri-Tachyon are missing.

The Paladin got a few kills, but the main destroyer were the death explosions . And not because of the damage, but just because the AI is unaware of the explosion and lowers shields just in time to eat them.

I noticed that as well which was a little sad for your tempests.

J is going to be rather silly as currently the fleets are 28 ticks and 20 aslastors which will only increase for next time so it will be chaos.

Also by my calculations the civilians if they have the proper fleet setup will gain 111.99 RP for next round. Which for instance would allow them to buy 48 new ticks.

Yeah; the fleets to beat seem to be single ship varieties; a monofleet, if you will.

Fortunately they only seem really possible through the tournament rules, at least.

I actually have 2 different types of ships and considering I only have 3 ships I'd say that isn't too bad.

The swarming seems to be working in the upper half of the bracket, I'm pretty sure kitsune would beat HELMUT simply due to the enforcers not having the missiles nor the maneuverability to get them all.

I enjoy the fact that the first hegemony enforcer was flat out destroyed by the initial salvo of torpedoes in ValkyriaL vs HELMUT.
