I did a little (lot) searching but am at a loss. I picked up an indie top down strategy game years ago and for the life of me can't remember it's name. Sort of graphically similar to Distant Worlds if I remember correctly. Combat would see you "jump in" to a real time top down map and I can't remember much of it past that.
Any help would be great!

This describes 90% of the Master Of Orion like games. There are probably two dozen or so on Steam, ranging from one or two being great, to the rest being "meh" to awful.
If the game was buggy, obviously incomplete while the dev claimed it was finished it might be StarDrive 1 or 2. /shade
