Looks like a Talon and a Broadsword flying past a new capital ship of some sort, perhaps something a bit like an upscaled Falcon if the orange bit in the center is the bright side of a planet 'below' the ship rather than part of its hull. I see a Mark IX Autocannon, a Hellbore, two Heavy Autocannons, and three Vulcans.
-
I see a single large turret and three mediums with at least one fighter bay (there is a broadsword there)
I think that is a Mauler and not a hellbore
-
Two larges, two mediums... Not bad for a cruiser. 2 fighter bays in addition to that seem unlikely, so those fighters probably were caught here by an accident.
-
Hellbore, autocannons...defs either a new low tech or drone ship. Judging by the random weapon placements and hull shape, probs the latter.
-
It looks like an oddly lopsided low-tech ship, judging from the armor plates on the sides looking like those from the Onslaught. Wouldn't say it's an upscaled Falcon.
-
It looks red to me. Red means Pirate or Tanker. Plus it has the Prometheus round front and the same overall hull style. My money is on a Pirate refurbished assault tanker.
-
It’s not a cruiser if those are both larges. No way a cruiser gets two large slots of the same type.
Pirate capital makes more sense especially as Alex said he tweaked pirate fleets to have fewer ships with similar power level

That WAS a pirate capital.
-
I was banking on a combat tanker - there eventually has to be one, no? It appears to be converted Atlas, it's got the spine. However, it looking at the weapon layout, it's definitely not the same ship as in the OP.
-
That is absolutely a Prometheus with a bunch of armor bolted to the sides, the lumpy orange bow gives it away. The second tweet is clearly a combat-converted Atlas; it's still got the signature Atlas spine and bow. It looks like we're getting a pair of combat-converted freighters in 0.9.1.

Thanks Tartiflette.
Concealing conversions is pretty hard, since we have something we can compare them. They have to be similar to something already in the game.
-
That one is definitely an Atlas. You can tell from the spines out of the side and the lack of a bulbous asymmetric front.

plus you can still see the little faint glow of the blue ring
Edit: So two pirate capitals? F yea i am ready

Coloration of the armor plate looks more midline to me, though it's a bit hard to say with the noise on the image. Still, the visible armament fits with low-tech.

I don't see the resemblance. There's a hard straight line on the left side of the "lumpy orange bow" that simply isn't there on the Prometheus, the Prometheus tank body is more of a red than an orange color, and, while it might just be the image quality, the orange bit doesn't seem to have features consistent with the Prometheus tank body.
I agree that the other one's definitely an Atlas conversion, though. Looks like maybe a Hephaestus, a pair of Heavy Autocannons, and a launch bay on it.
-
Look at the MP4 posted above. Its unmistakable once you see it. It has the bulbous front, the top extra tank line and the big ol side jaunt that the ship does. All in the right places at the right proportion.
Edit: The "launch bay" on the atlas is a large missile slot i think. It looks almost directly stolen from a Gryphon

Same bulb to the front, same long tank, and the large mounts fit into the sperical tanks, I think it's pretty sure it is a Prometheus refit.
-
Looks like a Prometheus Mk. II to me, yep.
-
Alright, I see the resemblance now.

I could see it being a Squall or something like that, sure.
-
I am so, so ready for pirate superfreighter and supertanker conversions.
-
Interesting. A set of converted capital-class civilian ships to round off the various other Ill-Advised Modification ships. :) Next patch is shaping up to make Pirate Raids more threatening!
I'm really curious what caused such an interesting break in the Atlas Mk.II's hull. Just a random one-off result of the ship breaking code (which I suspect), or did a weapon actually cause that?
-
I... honestly didn't realize those weren't already in the game lol
-
Yeah I do see the semblance before that was pointed out I thought it resembled a re-purposed Domain era probe.

Probably a little of both. In that the ship breaking code produced a nice image for us to look at some new Large Energy Hotness.
-
Yeah I regularly get Sliced Colossus dish when it blows up. But since large Energy could use some more members...

Pirates get regularly blown by Derelicts so they started thinking that shieldless and weird mount arrangement make for strong ships ;)
-
So that thing is a converted tanker, pretty fitting given that the sector is in disrepair. The game does need more radical conversions for its lesser factions.
