Title: Can't Run from a Supporting Space Station
Post by: exzacht on December 19, 2018, 12:54:41 PM
The other night I was trading at a pirate station (I don't remember which one), and I guess I made them angry because as soon as I departed, they jumped me. The pirate fleet was close enough to the station that it was able to support in combat, but my fleet was too slow to attempt to flee. I fought a couple of rounds of combat, trying to whittle down the pirate forces before I finally lost my flagship (a Dominator) and was able to flee.

I think a player fleet should always have the option to flee if an opposing space station is able to participate in the battle. Even the slowest hull ought to be able to outpace an immobile station.

This behavior is almost exactly identical to an issue I reported back in April: http://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=13351.msg225082#msg225082 (http://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=13351.msg225082#msg225082).

That said, I'm really enjoying the game! I'd been majorly looking forward to this release, and I can't wait to start building up my own colonies!

I've got something on my TODO list about this, yeah. Thanks for the report!
