Title: [0.9a RC10] Targeting AI thinks it can shoot through dead stations?
Post by: TJJ on November 26, 2018, 06:11:14 PM
With weapons set to auto, my Paragon was happily unloading its Autopulses at fighters that were completely obstructed by a destroyed Pirate base.

In case it's an issue with a particular station type/design, here's the scene a few seconds later (after I'd moved out from behind the station).

Hmm, weird - unable to reproduce this over here. Sometimes it'll hit the edges of the station's hulk, but otherwise it seems pretty good about not trying to shoot straight through it. Wonder what's different.

I have experience with ships, fighters and other shooting at dead parts of station while trying to shoot the active modules. I've seen both vast bulk parts (including the whole station) and dead-and-technically-flying-off parts getting shot at. It's not a big issue, but you may want to look into it.
