With respect to the following link, do you have any plans regarding the future availablity of Java?

Granted this only really becomes a problem at the end of 2020, but it would be nice to know there is a plan in place to deal with it.

Dec 2020 is just the end of public support updates for Java 8. It won't suddenly stop working, there will simply be no further public updates.
A non-issue for SS as it bundles a specific JRE version, rather than relying upon a system JRE.
If some critical compatibility issue with new hardware crops up, Alex could always migrate to Java 9 or beyond.
