Title: The Yellowjackets Mining Conglomerate

I found this really old mod called The Yellowjackets Mining Conglomerate after looking through the spite dump and I was wondering if there was anyone who could mod it into the game(and make it nexerelin compatible). I'd love to do it myself but I have no idea how to mod this game.

Rigging a basic (but well polished) faction mod, even using existing art assets is *not* a small job.

I would not expect anyone to do it for a request, unless paid.

Seriously, I've never, ever done any modding nor any sort of programming, but I managed to put on feet a mod for my own sprites, using the excellent Trylobot's ship editor and then just making it work by try/fail procedure.
I don't know how making it to work for Nexelerin, but it's manageable at least for a Vanilla style of play.
You should give it a try.
Start small : make the sprite working in the game, then you could grow big and make it a new faction.

great...but I have no idea how to get started. Also I saw these other batch of ships called the punkjunkers by Xenoargh and some ships made from asteroids in the HELMUT collection and I like to put one of those batch of ships in the game(I'd like to start with them because the only thing I want to do with them is to have them occasionally spawn in pirate fleets and that would be a lot easier than The Yellowjackets Mining Conglomerate because I want the yellowjackets to be a proper faction in Nexerelin). one more thing, how do make the mod download as a compressed zip file because that's the only type of mod my computer will allow to work for some reason(which means that I don't want this mod to require GraphicsLib)

To get started, I'd suggest getting a ship into a new mission. Forget about campaign integration for a bit, just focus on getting a ship into the game, and then polishing up how it plays/its balance/etc.

Get 7zip, or Winrar to allow unpacking archives that use better formats than .zip.
