Title: Dead computer
Post by: LazyWizard on August 10, 2017, 06:48:23 AM
Just a heads up that I won't be updating any of my mods anytime soon. My computer fried itself a few days ago, and it'll be a while before I can get it replaced.

All of my important data is backed up nightly so I shouldn't have lost much. I'll get back to modding once I get a new PC built and all my programs properly set up again (really dreading that part). Until then I'm using a Raspberry Pi as a (poor) desktop replacement, so I'll still be around the forums.

Oh man, that sucks! Yeah, setting stuff up on a new computer is the worst part, at least a day down the drain. And the OS situation is more, ah, interesting these days.

Ever so annoying when that happens. Good luck, man.

Sorry to hear it fried!  I always hate it when I lose a mobo or power supply to a surge or lightning strike!

Oh jeez, that really is unfortunate. Know that feel too, just fairly recently my last rig died out of nowhere and I had to replace it ASAP.

Good time to build a Powershell PackageManagement script for quick installation/updates.

By the way LazyWizard, sent you a PM with a wise idea or two contained within it. I think you might be interested.

God speed brother. As long as you have your data you have your life.
